Reduce stigma. Improve accessibility. Increase funding.

Who are we looking for?

  • Residents with lived experiences (this can include clients/service-users)
  • Practitioners/clinicians
  • Med-tech innovators
  • Mental health campaigners
  • Gardeners - this is for a potential project we are looking at proposing as part of our campaign!

Any specific areas?

We have been working with 12 professionals, organisations, and campaigners in different areas of mental health so far. However, we are still looking for representatives (mental health professionals, campaigners, researchers, med-tech innovators) in the following areas:

- Men's mental health

- Community involvement to support wellbeing

- Neurodiversity/SEND and mental health support

- Women's mental health (including perinatal/postnatal)

- Mental health in GP practices

- Mental health in schools

- Support for sexual and domestic violence victims

- Trauma therapy

- Depression and anxiety support

- Mental health support for the elderly community

- Mental health support for hospital patients (including patients for physical diagnoses and mental diagnoses)

- Support for substance misuse and addictions

- Eating disorder services

- Many more...

We are mainly looking for representatives that work for Torbay (be that through practices/services or through campaigning), but we are also looking for UK-wide mental health campaigners and researchers, as we know that the issues we are facing are often much larger than solely our area.

We are looking to integrate as many campaigns and initiatives as possible to create one large movement. Together, we can improve accessibility, reduce stigma, and overall help to improve mental health and wellbeing.
